Surprisingly the photos don't do it justice! The house and grounds are absolutely stunning. The pool and hot tub are fantastic, the kitchen is equipped with everything you could possibly want including a massive wine fridge. The games room, the orangery, the study/library are all so well-considered and beautifully decorated and all the bedrooms upstairs are lovely. The setting really feels like you're in the middle of nowhere but it really is only 15 minutes from Scarborough and really easy and inexpensive to get taxis if you want to go out and about. Tommy was brilliant - so welcoming, helpful, and happy to answer all of our (my) pre-trip questions. We had a brilliant time and were gutted to leave! (Check out Ryedale Vineyards near York - they do great tastings and the wine is lovely)

Where to start? Tommy gave us such a warm welcome, with really useful information and a brilliant hamper of goodies. The property was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and wonderfully peaceful, while offering so much to do. The games room and fantastic swimming pool, complete with inflatables, were a huge hit with the youngsters (and us!). We also enjoyed croquet, foot golf and tennis. For quieter moments, there was a beautiful wood-panelled reading room, a peaceful spot at the end of the corridor, and stunning gardens to sit in or wander around. The bedrooms were calm sanctuaries, with incredibly comfortable beds and complete silence despite the number of guests. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need, and the lounge was light, spacious and relaxing. I cannot praise this property enough. We all absolutely loved it and none of us wanted to leave!

We had such a great stay at Irton Manor and would happily recommend it to anyone. The house is amazing, with loads of space, brilliant facilities and everything you could need for a relaxing break. We particularly loved the pool, tennis courts and outdoor dining space. It was perfect for our family, and there was always something to do. Tommy was a fantastic host too! Very friendly, easy to get hold of and nothing was ever too much trouble. He made everything really straightforward from start to finish.

Irton Manor is just an amazing place to have a holiday. It’s got everything you will ever need. The accommodation was immense, extremely clean, comfortable and beautifully furnished. The outside space was great for adults and the children, with the foot golf, tennis court and croquet lawn a huge success. The indoor pool with all the inflatables being provided was perfect, as was the games room . A welcome hamper with wine chilling in the fridge made for a great start to the holiday. A big thanks to Tommy the Estate Manager who made us feel welcome from the time we arrived to the day we left. I would highly recommend Irton Manor to anyone and we will be back to stay again.

A great weekend in a beautiful house. We’ve had the perfect stay and lucky with the weather too. Tommy was super helpful and available to answer our call for help whether it was first aid or showing us where to find the Deer & fawn.

Our recent stay exceeded all expectations. The property is beautifully equipped with everything you could possibly need, and every detail has clearly been carefully considered. Tommy was an exceptional host — nothing was ever too much trouble. He was friendly, helpful, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. While the house itself is stunning, it’s Tommy’s thoughtful approach that truly elevates the experience. The check-in and check-out process was seamless, with clear communication and helpful information provided throughout. The house is simply magical and perfect for a multi-generational family stay. There was something for everyone to enjoy, and the immaculate grounds added to the overall charm. We found it hard to leave the property, as it offered everything we needed. The pool and hot tub were fantastic highlights. A truly memorable stay — we would highly recommend it.
